Dhandha of
Franchising

Everything a franchisor needs to build a brand that scales and everything a franchisee needs to pick, launch and run a franchise that actually makes money, written in plain business sense, not textbook theory.

01
The problem

Franchising looks simple from outside.
It rarely is.

Every second entrepreneur in India today wants to either franchise their brand or buy into one. Most start with a search engine and end up more confused than when they started. Some sign agreements they never fully understood. Some invest their savings into a brand that was never built to be copied. Some build a brand outsiders love but cannot actually be handed to a partner and run the same way twice.

Dhandha of Franchising was written to close that gap, chapter by chapter, so a first time franchisee walks in prepared and a first time franchisor builds a system that is genuinely franchisable.

What readers are saying

I run three quick service restaurant outlets and I wish this book existed before I signed my first agreement. The chapter on fee structure alone saved me from a bad deal on my second unit.

RM
Rohit MalhotraFranchise Owner, Pune

I recommend this book to every founder who asks me about franchising their business. It explains the difference between a good idea and a franchisable system better than any resource I have used with clients.

AD
Anjali DeshpandeBusiness Consultant, Ahmedabad

Building our support system for franchisees was the hardest part of scaling. The chapters on brand manuals and the franchisor toolkit gave me a structure I could implement the same week.

SI
Suresh IyerFranchisor, Chennai

As someone studying entrepreneurship, this book gave me a far more complete picture of franchising in India than my coursework did. The Tier 2 and Tier 3 city insights were especially useful.

PN
Priya NairMBA Student, Bengaluru

I was evaluating three franchise brands before investing and this book helped me ask the right questions during due diligence. It should be mandatory reading before any franchise investment.
